Asos is an independent online fashion and beauty retailer. Founded by two friends Nick Robertson and Quentin Griffiths in 2000, the initial idea was to sell merchandise seen on popular TV programmes - from table lights to pictures - hence the name AS SEEN ON SCREEN - but the founders quickly realised that selling copies of the clothes worn by the stars of such programmes was a far better idea.
